We are pleased to announce that twin version 25.2 is available. In this document you will find all the new features, improvements and fixed issues. If you encounter any problems during installation or during execution, please contact us by e-mail to info@digifai.com.

Note

In twin 25.4 we will update the PLCConnector to support Siemens S7-PLCSIM Advanced 6. Due to a change in the new version of Siemens S7-PLCSIM Advanced the PLCConnector cannot connect to versions older than 6. If you are using Siemens S7-PLCSIM Advanced, please update your installation to the latest version.

Note

When you start twin for the first time after installation, this may take a few seconds longer. The reason for this is that Windows checks the authenticity of the software.

New features

  • You can now use the RobotControllerConnector to connect to Yaskawa MotoSim. For more information, watch the video guide.
  • To make it easier to follow connections in the Simulation Component Diagram, you can now use the right-click menu to jump directly to the opposite connection point.

Improvements

  • The size of the arrows that indicate movements or rotation axes are now also scaled with the Coordinate system size setting in the Settings window.
  • We have improved the performance when selecting many 3d objects in the assembly simplifier.
  • We have added new video guides. You can find them in the video guides section.
  • We have added links to corresponding video guides to the simulation components documentation.

Fixed issues

  • The position of a box was sometimes incorrect when the size of the box was changed.
  • Undoing and redoing changes to the size of boxes sometimes did not work as expected.
  • Changing the visibility of 3D objects did not work under certain circumstances.
  • We have fixed a memory leak, that could happen, when the visibility of 3D objects was changed.
  • When moving 3D objects in the Assembly Structure window, the selected objects may not be highlighted correctly in the 3D View window.
  • 3D objects generated by a source simulation component did not have shadows.
  • Duplicating of an image 3D object did not work.
  • When closing the Move 3D object window, the target coordinate system was not removed.
  • If the transparency of a 3D object was set to 0, the object was still visible.
