This is a maintenance update. We recommend updating to this version.

    Fixed issues

    • RaySink: The settings RemoveDynamicObjects and RemoveKinematicObjects were not saved correctly.
    • VacuumConveyor: We fixed an issue that results in simulation problems when a kinematic 3D object collides with the VacuumConveyor.

    2024-09-17 - twin 24.8.2

This update contains critical fixes. We strongly recommend, that you install this update.

    Fixed issues

    • Conveyor: The speed arrow was not visible if the 3D object of the conveyor belt had two sides of the same size.
    • We have fixed some issues with the new rendering when selecting 3D objects in the 3D View.
    • We have improved the performance in the new 3D rendering.
    • The headers of simulation components in the Simulation Component Diagram view can now be edited again by double-clicking on the header.
    • When too many ControlPanels are added to a project, the Reset Window Layout button was not visible anymore.

    New features

    • We have added a new Simulation Component InputSwitch which allows to output the value of a specific input from a set of inputs.
    • The buttons in the ControlPanel can now be illuminated.

    Improvements

    • We have updated the rigid body simulator PhysX to the latest version which results in a more stable simulation.

    Fixed issues

    • We have fixed some issues with the new rendering that could cause the 3D view or the twin client to freeze or crash under certain circumstances
    • We have fixed some issues with the new rendering that results in wrong selected 3D objects under certain circumstances
    • We have improved the performance in the new 3D rendering
    • twin does not need administrator rights on the first start anymore
    • When 3D objects are moved by selecting a target coordinate system, the preview was not updated
    • The coordinate systems of stored positions in the GenericRobotController do not jump anymore
    • The mouse cursor now changes to a closed hand when dynamic 3D objects are grabbed by the user
    • The capture tool is working again
    • PLCConnector: When deleting PLC instances in PLCSIM Advanced, twin could crash under certain circumstances
    • PLCConnector: The inputs and outputs incorrectly displayed an error under certain circumstances
